ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 7—Several Kodak speakers will take the stage to share insights on the importance of color management across all markets at the 2007 PIA/GATF Color Management Conference Dec. 9-11 in Phoenix.
In his session, “Kodak-Color: It’s What We Do,” Chuck Nordeen, Product Manager, Color Products and Services, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, will discuss Kodak’s technologies and methodologies for helping businesses achieve quality color from concept to completion.
“Reliable, uniform color is integral to business success,” said Nordeen. “Kodak’s color technology plays a key role in customer satisfaction by delivering consistent, accurate color.”
Bob Pirie, Senior Systems Engineer, Kodak, also presents at the conference, speaking on monitor and inkjet proofing. He’ll review both technologies and give advice on how to successfully apply each.
“When it comes to color results and proofing confidence, pitfalls and misguided expectations can impede a successful implementation,” said Pirie. “Understanding monitor and inkjet proofing techniques, and the types of applications they’re suited for, leaves less room for errors.”
William Li, Color Technology Manager and chair of the International Color Consortium on behalf of Kodak, is a member of the “Expanded Gamut Printing” session moderated by Dave Hunter of Pilot Marketing. Li will comment on the flexographic industry’s move to seven color process and how the rules of assessing color reproduction quality are being reevaluated.
